Last night Susan threw an early surprise birthday party for me. Susan rented one of the Director Suites at the Warren Theater and a bunch of my friends came out and all of us watched a movie together. After I got home it dawned on me that I didn’t take a single picture the entire evening. My friend Brian (who drove all the way from Arkansas!) did and posted it to Facebook, so I am stealing his picture from before the movie started and posting it here.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately almost exactly 12 hours before the movie started, my Uncle Joe passed away. This is the same Uncle that Mason just spent a week with in Chicago two weeks ago. Uncle Joe was a good guy who was always nice to me and Susan and loved our kids so very much. I haven’t had a chance to write about that yet, but I’m sure I will over the next few days. We expect there to be a wake this week and a funeral and I know I will be going up there for that. <\/p>\n
