Over the weekend, Susan, the kids and I had lunch at Grandy’s<\/a> off of 39th and MacArthur. While eating, the kids mentioned geocaching<\/a> again and we decided to check our new geocachine phone app to see if there were any geocaches hidden nearby. Much to our surprise, there was one hiding right across the parking lot! The cache was called “The City that Bites,” an obvious reference to the City Bites restaurant next door.<\/p>\n

After we finished at Grandy’s we headed out to the parking lot. The two hints on the app were that it was a “nano” container (which is about the size of a pencil eraser), and that it was “kind of high”. Using the app’s GPS we tracked the cache down to a utility pole. After feeling around up high, we found a small, magnetic container about the size of a pencil eraser. After opening it we found the tiny piece of paper inside, which we signed. This was the first official find for Team-OHara!<\/p>\n

Again, it amazes me that these things are hidden out and about, all around us. Finding this one only took 5-10 minutes out of our day and the kids were really excited about it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
