This weekend kicks off “Christmas in the Park”, Yukon’s annual light display. The lights begin going up in October, before Halloween, but don’t open for public viewing until mid-November. I don’t know how long they run, but they’ll be taking them down sometime in January. The cynic in me can’t help but notice that the lights are up almost a fourth of the year. It also pisses me off that they block off all the public parks this time of year. Today it was almost 60 degrees, but you can’t take your kids to the park because all the parking lots are blocked off. <\/p>\n

Tonight Susan promised to take the kids to Christmas in the Park, but she fell asleep around 8PM and I was watching OU slaughter Baylor. Mason asked around 9:30PM if we were still going, and since OU was up by 30 at that point, I figured it would be okay.<\/p>\n

Using my Flip camera with the mini-tripod attachment, I recorded the adventure and replaced my and Mason’s banter with some generic Christmas music. If you aren’t ready to start looking at Christmas lights (in November), feel free to enjoy these.<\/p>\n
