November 1st marks the beginning of NaNoWriMo — NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November by writing a little bit (1,666 words) each day.<\/p>\n

To officially participate you must sign up at www.nanowrimo.org<\/a>. Once you establish an account, you can upload your daily writings and the site will track your progress throughout the month.<\/p>\n

I am getting a late start this year. I spent some time last night trying to come up with an idea. I am already working on a couple of novels at the moment, but I plan on using NaNoWriMo to spark a new one. I am thinking about sticking the Word document out in a public folder on my website where it can be downloaded by anyone at any time. That should keep the project moving forward.<\/p>\n
