Every Game I've Ever Owned

Arcade Articles I've Written

Local Arcades I've Visited

Born in the early 1970s, I spent much of my youth hanging around local arcades, playing arcade games. In 1994 at the age of 21 I bought my first arcade game (Elevator Action) and I've been buying and selling games ever since.

In 1996 I moved cross country and had to dump my collection of 8 games. I swore then that when I had the time, space, and money to do so again, I would again begin collecting arcade games. That didn't happen until 2003, when we moved into a home that had a 500 square foot building in the backyard. As a surprise for my 30th birthday my wife, family and friends converted the plain shed into an arcade straight out of the 1980s. With space and inspiration, I was ready to populate my building.

Almost 10 years and 30 machines later, my arcade was complete -- just in time for me to move again. I spent the Winter of 2011 and the Spring of 2012 selling off all the machines I spent the past 10 years collecting. Without an available shed in the backyard, I had no space to store the collection.

This area of robohara.com contains three sections: under GAMES, you will find a complete inventory of every arcade game I have ever owned (and a few I still own); although there are only a couple there, under ARTICLES you will find a few articles I have written in regards to arcade collecting; finally there's the ARCADES section, which inventories all the arcades I've visited (this section is currently offline).

All of my arcade adventures, along with tips about collecting and some basic repair information can be found in my book Invading Spaces: A Beginner's Guide to Collecting Arcade Games. Invading Spaces is available for $2 in PDF form, or $15 for a paperback.
