As I stated before, Thursday was Susan’s 30th birthday. I surprised her Saturday night by taking her out to Nikz At The Top (formerly the Eagle’s Nest). For those of you who have never been, I highly recommend it. The restaurant is 20 stories up — the top floor of Founder’s Tower. On top of that, the whole restaurant rotates. It takes about an hour to get all the way around, but in the time you will have seen Edmond, the State Capitol, downtown, Lake Hefner, and everything in between. It’s quite the experience. The restaurant was complete with a live band and wonderful food. If you have a 100 spot to waste and are in the mood for a great steak (or are in trouble with your significant other), you could do worse than Nikz. Thanks to mom for babysitting in a pinch!
Susan’s birthday weekend was topped off by dinner at Johnny Corrino’s (sp?) in Yukon, and cake and ice cream back at our house. I think everyone involved in Susan’s birthday this year got the same thing — more love handles.
