One Good Ouch Deserves Another

Thursday, Susan’s mother decided to do her best Nancy Kerrigan impersonation and fell on the ice. While her knee is okay, she managed to break her arm in five places! I’m not in trouble because she fell; I’m in trouble for laughing about it (I’m sorry, but people falling on the ice is funny; even loved ones). Liz ended up having surgery Friday and had two pins inserted in to hold the bones in place. I must’ve developed sympathy pain, as over night I developed some sort of shoulder pain that can be best described as, well, painful. I’ve never had a pinched nerve but this sure feels like someone is pinching the nerve in my neck. I could barely move my right arm or turn my neck for a while. With the help of Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Doan’s Back Pills and two beers, it’s getting better. My weekend plans are now to officially not wander too far from the Jacuzzi tub or the heating pad.
