I really should update this every day of the week/weekend instead of posting these huge posts every Sunday night. Oh well, maybe next week.
Friday was once again my RDO (regular day off) and I spent the majority of the day thrift store shopping with Grandma O. We had a really good time and I kept telling her if she lived closer, I’d be broke. At every store, she would spend 29 cents on a mug and I’d drop $10-$15 on video game crap. We had lunch at Muy Wei off of I-40 and Meridian. Man that place is good.
Friday evening, one of Susan’s friends from work threw a baby shower for us. It was pretty cool … we got some really nice things and had a good time. Mason even got a Razor Scooter that he’s been riding around the house all weekend.
Sunday was the first official day of pool season! While Susan fiddled around with chemicals, I scooped leaves and bugs out of the water. Within a few minutes, everything was ready to go. We swam from 8:15am until 9:45, then went to Dollar General to get a bunch of pool toys/crap (snorkels, fins, goggles, water noodles, beach balls … you name it, we bought one). After swimming we ate lunch, ran some errands, stopped by dad’s house, took naps … and went swimming again! Hey, it’s paid for, might as well get our money’s worth out of the thing. In just the amount of time we spent in the pool today, we’ve decided we need a new deck, new deck furniture, outdoor furniture, outdoor speakers, and a whole slew of other things. We’ll see how many of those things happen throughout the swimming season.
