Contractions Begin

Yesterday was Susan’s birthday. I have a bunch of pictures to post, but I haven’t had time yet today. Susan has been having contractions since midnight last night. By 4am, they were five minutes apart and a minute long. If that happens for a straight hour, that means it’s baby time. Well, it happened for 45 minutes, then slowed down, then sped up again. Susan had a 9am doctor’s appt so we went fully expecting to be admitted to the hospital. Instead, the doctor said she was not dilated, gave her some sleeping pills and sent us back home. So, we’re back home for the time being and have raised the DEFCON (or maybe BABYCON) level back up from 1 to a 2. We’ll remain in the holding pattern until something changes.
