Even though my diet didn’t end the way I had hoped, 2006 was a great year for me. Though there were ups and downs, I proved to myself something I previously considered impossible — I can lose weight. And it wasn’t just a pound or two; I lost sixty pounds last year.
My dietary goal for next year is essentially more of the same. To lose another sixty pounds I would only need to lose five pounds a month. To lose 120 pounds I would need to lose ten pounds a month. My minimum goal for next year is a weight loss of sixty pounds — a completely obtainable goal, even when done in a healthy fashion. Any weight loss over that goal will just be icing on the (sugar free) cake.
I’m working on it too. I had to wait until I had eaten all the stock of chocolate, because I’m like the smoker trying to quit… if I know it’s there, I can’t stop myself. But all the snack stuff that I have no control over is gone now, so I’m on my way at last. I actually am more worried about losing strength than about losing weight. So I bought some of those elastic bands to work with (resistance exercises) and Bandit and I are doing some walking now that most of the ice is gone and the temperature is rising. Keep up the good work! I’m proud of your success!

I have personally dropped ten pounds, and feel great. I really didn’t need to lose this weight, but I am loving it! WBR LeoP
