Vintage Star Wars Figures I Need

A couple of months ago I decided to display all of my vintage (1978-1985) Star Wars figures. Ten minutes later, I decided to try and complete my collection. Based on what I can tell, I am currently missing roughly 30 figures. Some of these I know I had back in the day (who didn’t own a jawa or two?) but some of them slipped away over time.

If you happen to have any of the following figures from the original vintage line and would like to let them go, please let me know. I have pretty much exhausted my local Vintage Stock stores. I am looking for loose (not carded) figures and willing to spend up to five bucks a figure. (eBay has almost all the ones I need but I’m not willing to spend $20+ per figure.) I don’t care if they are missing their weapons or show wear; right now I’m just trying to assemble them all. I’ll worry about updating particularly worn figures later.

Here are the figures I’m missing. RebelScum.com has pictures of every figure, in case you aren’t sure what they look like. Next to some of the figures’ names are brief descriptions that help me remember who is who when I’m out searching.

  1. I may have a spare Jawa, I’ll have to dive into my closet and check The Stash. Fair warning: if I do have a spare, he’s gonna need a cape and he’s gonna need his gun. But if you’re into naked, unarmed Jawas, I might be able to hook you up. Wait, I probably could’ve chosen my words more carefully there.

  2. Also, fair warning: some time back, I scored an Amanaman, loose with accessories… he ain’t cheap. Even loose he was upward of $70 (though bear in mind, this was circa 2000, when you had speculators suddenly snatching up/flipping figures all over again, and back when I had money to blow).

  3. Over the last small months I’ve been building a modest vintage Kenner SW collection starting from pretty much nothing. I do not have any spare figures as such, but I do have a line on a number of shops in my area which have many of the figures you’ve specified. Hitting your price point of $5 may be tough, but $5 – $10 is probably more doable (you know I’m not in this to make money). There are couple of these I know can’t be touched for less than $40. I’ll do some scouting and let you know what I can dredge up.

    p.s. – How can a guard from Bespin be “African-American”? ;-)
