Woke up with the ship already docked in Ketchikan, Alaska. We ate breakfast on the ship before heading out.
Our first stop was at the local lumberjack show. It sounds hokey but it was pretty entertaining. After the show Mason and Morgan had their pictures taken with the lumberjacks. Yo ho!
After that we spent a couple of hours walking around town. I’d estimate 50% (and maybe more) of the stores were jewelry stores. Mason’s been doing this free coin hunt at each dock. Different designated shops hand out gold coins and kids are encouraged to collect them all. The catch o course is that while junior is. Lecti g his or her coins, mom or dad are getting the hard sell on some jewelry. Mason managed to collect his final 3 coins in Ketchikan without mommy getti g any diamonds.
Lunch was at Burger Queen, an off the path burger joint. Great burgers, 30 minute wait.
We got back to the boat earlier than a lot of other cruisers so we used the time to play some putt putt and let the kids swim.
After dinner. Mason and Sue went to a musical show and Morgan went to a late night party at Camp Carnival. I took a nap.
