Pre-Easter Egg Hunt

The last couple of years, the kids have attended the local Yukon Easter Egg Hunt. This year, this was the line to get in.

They don’t really hide the eggs, as you can see in this next picture — they just kind of throw them out in the field and, when the siren goes off, the kids make a mad dash and collect all the eggs they can.

The roped off areas were split into different age groups. Mason’s group, the 10-12 year olds, wasn’t very crowded.

Morgan’s area (the 4-6 year old area) however looked like this:

Each egg was filled with a small toy trinket or a piece of candy. Both kids got all the eggs they wanted.

The entire egg hunt lasted about 2 minutes for each kid. After gathering up all the eggs it was time to walk back to the car before rain started dumping on us.

The kids got in some good practice for tomorrow morning’s festivities!
