Goodbye, House.

As of Wednesday afternoon, we are no longer members of the “dual home owners club.” Our old house has officially been sold. Closing was yesterday. All went “well”.

Moving all of our things, particularly my arcade games, has been an arduous process that I will write about sometime soon. As for the other parts … suffice it to say that I don’t love the house-selling process, and Susan and I had several nights where we didn’t sleep much. Both the mental and physical stress has taken a toll on us both.

Last night, for the first time in a couple of months, the two of us slept like rocks.

I truly hope the new owners enjoy the house as much as we did. Our kids loved that house and were sad to see it go. The good news is, we all love the new house more.

The day we bought our new house, I declared that our old house (previously referred to as simply “the house”) would now be known as “the old house,” and the house we just purchased would be referred to as “the new house” until the old house had been sold. Now that the old house has been sold, from this point forward “the new house” shall simply be known as “the house”, and “the old house” shall be referred to as “the house we used to own”.

So there you go.
