A week ago, the entire state of Oklahoma was under a state-wide “burn ban”. The state was so dry that a single carelessly tossed cigarette butt or ember from an outdoor flame could send the entire state up in smoke. Last weekend, it rained for two days straight. Last night, we got several inches of snow. Weather here is never boring.
Mason and I went back up to the hospital last night to see Griffin again. Linda seemed to be doing well. I believe the official stats were 9lbs, 7oz and 20 inches long. Below is a picture of me holding Griffin. The picture was taken by Mason.
I heard that Target put all of their DVD seasons of Southpark on sale for $20 each, so after leaving the hospital Mason and I swung by the Target on north May. The entire store has changed since the last time I was there. Where the toys and electronic department used to be, I found milk and ice cream. At Target. Yeah. And in a stroke of (probably intentional) genius, the store has been redesigned so that everything is as far from where it used to be as possible, meaning if you’re unfamiliar with the store’s new layout, you’ll be walking the entire length of the store to find what you came for. The DVD section used to be in the southwest corner; now, they’re in the northeast side of the store. After covering the entire store on foot, I finally found Southpark Seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7. No season 4. I put all the ones they had in my cart and stood there, thinking about it. It bugged me that I wouldn’t have season 4, and no doubt, the store won’t get more in until after the sale. Plus I know I won’t drive all the way back out there to buy season 4. Eventually I put all the movies back and left empty-handed. I know, I’m weird. I’ll have to check back this weekend and see if they have all of them in stock.
