Woke up in the MGM Grand. Had breakfast from the food court McDonald’s.
After breakfast, we hit the strip. Just down the block was the M&M store. I can’t tell you how much the kids loved it. I don’t even think they love M&Ms all that much, but I’ll be damned if they didn’t go over every inch of that four-story building. On the fourth floor is a movie theater showing a 10-minute 3D M&M animated feature (“I lost my ‘M’ in Las Vegas”) was was entertaining. I don’t know how long we were in that store but it seemed like 4023402343248234 hours.
Next up was Gameworks, which is right next door. Mason and Morgan took turns shooting, fighting, and racing just about every game in sight. We wrapped up the visit with a couple of rounds of air hockey. I’ll try and get pictures posted soon.
From there it was lunch at Fatburgers, a place I’ve never been to and only know from a single reference in a Beastie Boys song (“I go to White Castle cause it’s the best, but fly a Fatburger when I’m way out west.”) It was good. Not Five Guys or In-and-Out good, but good.
From there we came back to the MGM Grand, checked out the Lion exhibit, and then came back up to the room. After a short nap, Susan took the kids to the pool and I went and lost a bunch of money in slot machines.
After dinner (again in the food court), we walked over to the theater to catch David Copperfield’s show. The show was good. I’ll write a more lengthy review of the show later, but the highlight (as I mentioned in my last post) was getting to meet David Copperfield after the show. I know the kids will remember that forever.
Jesus, this is going to be a tough vacation to top.
I have changed my mind, NOW I wish I was there (smilin’)
