Tidbits

My cousin Patty made her school’s website twice — once for being in the Spelling Bee, and once for her mother’s appearance as a guest speaker at the school. Yay Patty! Link: http://www.sjshomewood.org

Susan’s sister Becky was rear ended by a drunk driver yesterday. She’s fine, but her Isuzu Rodeo was totalled. That’s funny — last month, both of our families owned Isuzu Rodeos, now neither of us do!

Last night I came into work around 8pm (dead server) and worked until a little after 11pm. I didn’t know how long it was going to take, and I made the mistake of bringing Mason up to work with me. He did fine, but his Wolfman and Mummy figures came up missing (Dracula and Godzilla made it home okay). Can’t wait until someone finds those.

The AS/400 trainers came back today. At least today they brought a Powerpoint presentation and some handouts. Susan brought donuts.

  1. Haha, I’m in the same boat. One of our clients has an AS/400 and I just kind of leave it alone. The only thing I know about it is that I can’t login to it and it weighs a lot.

  2. You’re right about that — we have an “expansion tower” underneath ours which holds an additional 45 drives. Apparently ours has 12 drives in the “main” unit and 5 in the bottom unit, so we have room for 40 more drives. All our drives are (you ready for this?) 9 gig drives. Apparently the smallest IBM sells now is 36 gig drives. The biggest ours takes? 18 gig. :)
