Andy invited Susan and I out to go bowling Saturday night. The timing couldn’t have been better — Mason already had plans to spend the night at my mom’s, and Susan’s sister was wanting to watch Morgan. After dropping the kids off at their respective destinations, we headed up to the bowling alley. There, we met all three Willrath’s (Andy, Matt and Allison) and their significant others. I’m pretty sure I had the worst score on my team every game we played, and was in the bottom two or three scores (out of eight) every game. Seems so much easier on the Playstation. I gotta give Matt props for his 240+ game. I thought that was only possible on ESPN.
While we were busy drinking beer, eating bowling alley food and throwing gutterballs, the Hornets were busy defeating the Los Angeles Lakers. That means in the same week, we beat both the Bulls and the Lakers. Neither of those teams are “in their prime”, but when you’re a .500 team you take what you can get. I caught some of the game in between bowling frames, and the highlights Saturday night on the news.
Sunday was the Super Bowl. I couldn’t have cared less about either team, and to be honest the commercials weren’t even that great this year. Eh.
