NaNoWriMo 2010

The 2010 NaNoWriMo, or NAtional NOvember WRiting MOnth, begins November 1st. That’s just around the corner!

The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a 50,000 word novel in a single month (that’s 1,700 words a day). Save the editing for December — the goal of November is to write, write, write. You’ve still got almost two weeks to come up with an idea and get registered for this year’s event.

According to my blog, I’ve known about NaNoWriMo for three years now. I’ve participated two of those three years, and finished zero times. Susan has participated twice and written two novels, although she won’t let me read either one.

Past performances be damned; 2010 is the year I start (and finish) my next novel!

  1. So am I missing something or is this really 2011 and I’ve been in a coma or something? Or are you just major procrastinating at this thing?

  2. Wow, this sounds like a great idea. I may have to challenge myself and do this…Lord knows I ramble on paper & in emails too much! :)

Thanks for the info – and good luck!
