This morning the four of us went to the 2009 Oklahoma State Fair. We went early so the weather was manageable and the parking wasn’t horrible. So here is today’s game — guess how much the O’Haras spent today at the fair! Here is what we bought:
Admission (2 adults, 7-year-old and a 4-year-old)
Admission for 4 through the Pirate Museum
Cup of food at the petting zoo
2 jugs of root beer (Mason and Morgan)
Nachos (Mason)
Nachos (Morgan)
Deep Fried Ravioli (Rob)
Indian Taco (Susan)
Two large bags of Cotton Candy (Mason and Morgan)
Slice of Chocolate Dipped Frozen Cheesecake (Susan)
Deep Fried Twinkie (Rob)
Two trips on the Space Needle
4 Drinks from Braums on the way home
If you need visual aid, here are the pictures I took at the fair today!
Place your bets now! The closest guess received by midnight Monday will win a prize! Only one guess per reader. Guesses can be posted at robohara.com, Facebook, or submitted via e-mail. Good luck!
The prize will NOT be a Deep Fried Twinkie!
My guess is $185
$134, give or take; probably you give and they take!
My gut reaction was to go high and then my knee jerk reaction was to go low. I will go with 465.
More than you expected.

MISSION STATEMENT

I’m gonna lowball it and say $92.
For my family’s state fair trip last Friday we budgeted $120 and spent $118. Pretty fly for a wedo, ¿que no?
By the way, it’s not like the deep-fried twinkie wouldn’t keep during shipping…
$127
$147.63
I’m going to say that you spent $0. It was a gift from your going away dinner.
$137.49
$111.50
Nobody has said $121.01 yet so I will claim it.
