Last weekend was Nasty Pirates weekend. All five pirates (myself, Jeff, Andy, Scott and Josh) were in attendance. Earlier in the week I came up with the idea of having some sort of video game tournament, but I ended up being under the weather a few days last week and never organized anything, so instead we ended up sitting around, eating, laughing, and watching movies/movie clips. I was a little disappointed in myself that I didn’t get the tournament organized … but there’s always next month I suppose.
Monday after work I met Emily, Butch, Johnny, Stephanie and Ellston out at Firelake Casino in Shawnee. I have to say I did not like their buffet as much as Riverwind’s or Remington Park’s, and I had just about the worst losing streak I’ve had any any casino that I can remember. (Tough to blame that on a particular casino; that can happen to anyone anywhere, I suppose.) Also the ATM wouldn’t recognize my ATM card, which in retrospect was probably a hint. I played dollar slots, quarter slots and penny slots and the most I won on a single hand was .80 cents.
Next week more friends of mine are coming from out of town for a work project. Unfortunately, Susan is going out of town next week as well (back to her other home … DC) which means I won’t be able to hang out much as I’d like as I’ll be running daddy daycare all week.
You can book a couple of evenings for the kids at Granny evening care….
What are the rates?
Higher than anybody but kids and grandkids can afford! That’s the Granny Protection Clause.
