However, if you ever get a change to raft through the Grand Canyon (it takes days – literally – not minutes), you may come to fully grasp the majesty of the Grand Canyon. If you get a chance to visit AZ, see about doing the rail trip from Williams to the Canyon (Grand Canyon Railway). I would also point out that the north rim is also a different perspective (coming at the Canyon from Utah). To fully exploit the Canyon could take the better part of a summer (but aside from the rafting, I’d recommend visiting during the fall or winter).
