I have a few friends who still run BBSes and the problem is, once the novelty wears off, people quit calling/connecting. As much as I love the old days, I think most people are more comfortable with online forums at this point. I may set one up as an experiment one of these days but I think forums are probably here to stay. It would be awesome to see all that old ascii artwork again though …
