I have been waiting for mine to be eligible for about that same amount of time (since the 3GS came out, whenever that was), and now that it is I’m holding out until after the holidays because we have already spent a bunch with a trip to Costa Rica and Xmas presents. My current phone still works fine and looks up things on the internet fine too, so I can wait until things stabilize a bit.

I got a Droid in early November and Kristen’s been salivating over it since I got it. Ashton wanted one too. Problem is, I used our only eligible upgrade for mine. So to get two new Droids (not the ones you are looking for) I had to add two lines to my account (for a total of five lines) at $15 each and buy two $199 phones. Ugh. Otherwise they would have been $500+ each.
