We’ve had those stores around here since the mid 90’s. There was one just minutes from my first apartment and I was in there quite a bit back in the day. I’m really surprised they survived for so long for the exact same reasons you mentioned. I don’t exactly live in a rural area, but you have people like my Dad who hated all technology and refused to “learn” how to use his DVD player.
