Colorado

First time: Summer, 1996
Last time: Fall, 2015

The first time I ever drove through Colorado was when I moved from Oklahoma to Washington State. That was in the summer of 1996. About a year later, I ended up in Denver for work. After doing some work at the Denver office, my friend Von and I drove up to Casper, Wyoming and spent a week there. I enjoyed both locations.

In June of 2010 I spent a week in Denver doing some work for the Environmental Protection Agency. While there I got to see the roof of their building, which is a "Green Roof" and covered in plants which are watered using rain water. Here is a picture of the EPA's Green Roof with the Denver skyline in the background.

During that same week I got to meet up with Robb Sherwin, who has become a close friend of mine. Like myself, Robb is into classic arcade games, video games, and computer games. He's also a fantastic programmer who has written several award winning games.

In the summer of 2012 on our way to Seattle, Susan, the kids and I drove through Colorado and over the Rocky Mountains. It's a fantastic sight to see.

In November of 2013 I drove to Colorado to attend the Kong Off 3, a nationally sanctioned Donkey Kong tournament. I got to meet Mike from the No Quarter Podcast and spend some time visiting Robb Sherwin. At the tournament I also got to meet Billy Mitchell and Twin Galaxies head referee Walter Day.

In the Fall of 2014, my family and I drove to Denver to visit my friend Jeff and his family. We stayed in a cabin up in the mountains and had a great time. While we were there we went gold panning and even climbed a glacier.

Over Fall Break, 2015, we again visited Jeff and his family in Denver. We stayed in Gransby.
